ICF International seeks a Research Assistant to support a range of communications and outreach projects for a transportation-related government client. This position is based in our Washington, DC office.
The Research Assistant will support the development and implementation of internal and external communications plans including drafting articles, disseminating new and updated course information, and e-newsletters, as well as supporting Web-based conferences. The Research Assistant also will contribute to the development of Web content and will play an integral role in conference support and logistics.
As a Research Assistant at ICF you will be part of a talented, client-facing strategic communications team which functions as an in-house public relations agency for ICF International’s wide range of clients. In addition to the primary client, there will be some other support required for a range of Federal and commercial clients. Some travel may be required.
Bachelor’s Degree in English/Marketing/Communications-related field required. Demonstrated work experience or internships in the field of Public Relations, Media, or Strategic Communications required. Excellent verbal and communication skills, organization skills and multi-tasking required.

Account Supervisor – Jones Public Affairs

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day-to-day account work, which may include: drafting a wide range of written materials, coordinating events, maintaining client and media contact and managing projects
- Act as a liaison between client, outside vendors and, as appropriate, other internal and external audiences (i.e., media, advocates, medical experts, other interest groups)
- Manage implementation of events, such as press conferences, media briefings, advocacy and/or investigator meetings, etc.
- Supervise junior staff on various account projects and activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Communications experience (public or advocacy relations) with proven media relations skills (media outreach, project management, event execution, etc.) and strong writing ability
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, flexibility and professional manner
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage several tasks simultaneously and work both independently and as a team
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of the changing healthcare environment
